Lesson 1 - Role of the producer
In our first lesson we watched a behind the scenes footage of a day in the life working on the set of Game of Thrones. The video mainly focused on the roll of the producers and what they have to do. Key things I learnt from the video: Producers have to organise all of the locations and sets, ensuring that the public/tourists aren't going to affect filming, creating compromises to ensure the locations are empty. The same scene can be filmed in two different countries so they after to maintain continuity by sending pictures to the other locations, to make sure the hair, makeup and costume are all exactly the same. Everyday on set they have notes on every scene, the state what advancements need making. Have to constantly communicate with the directors and producers who are in different locations/countries.
